When we got back to Balestrand we went up into the mountains where they had hiking trails for their school. Nina spotted a playground that made her envious. It was quite a hike up the streets along the side of the mountain to even get to the trails. When we ventured in, I was absolutely dying and starving and didn't know if I was going to make it out. Too bad because they were nice trails and it would have been nice to take the one with a look out.
I mentioned this earlier, but the Kvikne's Hotel was a marvel and a highlight of Balestrand. They had a room that was filled with hand carved furniture. I took a number of pictures of them in case I am inclined to make some carved furniture in the future.
